Oregon Health Exchange Overview:Oregon’s health exchange is a state run marketplace. A state can choose to operate its exchange or it can let federal government operate one for it. The three kinds exchange operation models mandated by ObamaCare is described here in health exchange by state post.
Oregon’s health insurance exchange is called as ‘Cover Oregon’. It’s a new central marketplace where Oregon individuals and employers will be able to shop for health insurance plans and access financial assistance to help pay for coverage. It is expected, that in 2014, around 237,000 people could purchase health insurance through the exchange.
Individuals and Small businesses can purchase Oregon Qualified Health Plans (QHP) from the insurance exchange. For individuals making less than 400% of federal poverty level, ObamaCare Oregon health plan subsidies are available. For Small businesses there is ObamaCare Oregon Small Employer Tax Penalties And Subsidies are available.
